1.1. Introduction

The purpose of this course is to design, organise and develop activities for learning Spanish Language and Literature. Both group and individual activities are to reflect on and apply contents, which are also collectively commented on. These activities will involve analysing, contextualising and evaluating the curricular contents of Spanish Language and Literature, the materials and textbooks of this discipline, and to analysis the possibilities that the ICT offer (uses, incidences, advantages, disadvantages, etc.) in the linguistic-communication-literary area.

Activities that correspond to specific forms of evaluation shall also be proposed.

2.1. Learning goals

To pass this course, students should be able to:
 
1.  Plan, design, organise and develop the learning and evaluation schedules and activities of Spanish Language and its Literature that correspond to Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education.
2.  Analyse the difficulties and specific characteristics considered in learning the Spanish Language and its Literature for students of Compulsory Secondary Education and non-compulsory Secondary Education and, consequently, evaluate and select the most relevant strategies in the teaching-learning process.
3. Design didactic units (the course's essential objective) and activities to learn the specific competences and knowledge of the Spanish Language and its Literature.
4. Make the bestof the resources required to design the typical activities of the Spanish Language and its Literature course: use audiovisual means, texts from different genres (journalistic, literary, oral, etc.), dramatisation techniques and other didactic strategies.
5.  Organise and guide students’ working process by them undertaking activities (lectures, leading seminars and discussions, helping group work); and tutoring and supporting the learning process of the Spanish Language and its Literature, especially by means of a training and summative assessment.
